With an alternating zirconia alumina and aluminum oxide flaps the type 29 discs maximize performance at a cost-effective price. The lightweight, vibration-absorbing fiberglass and resin backing plates give the disc excellent durability when used on 300 and 400 series stainless steels, cast iron, soft carbon steels, super alloys, and titanium.• Type 29 conical flap discs with alternating zirconia alumina and aluminum oxide flaps provide higher performance than aluminum oxide while retaining an economical price• Angled, polyester/cotton flaps provide greater surface contact and are the best choice when speed of job completion and stock removal are primary considerations; may be used on contour and edge work• Their fiberglass/resin backing plates are the most popular plate configuration due to high strength, light weight, ability to absorb vibration, and operator comfort• Good choice for coarse grit blending, deburring, and stock removal• Medium/80 grit for light blending and cleaning
