NW Spring Plungers
NW spring plungers—often called detent plungers—are spring-loaded components used to create a repeatable detent, indexing point, or light holding force in fixtures and mechanical assemblies (application dependent). They’re commonly used to position adjustable parts, provide “click-stop” engagement, and maintain consistent contact in guards, covers, slides, and modular workholding setups. Because the feel and retention depend on spring force and tip geometry, spring plungers are typically selected by specification rather than by general description.
