NW Ball Plungers
NW ball plungers—also called spring plungers or detent plungers—are spring-loaded components used to create a repeatable detent, indexing point, or light holding force in fixtures and mechanical assemblies (application dependent). They’re commonly used to locate adjustable parts, provide “click-stop” positioning, and maintain consistent engagement in guards, covers, slides, and modular workholding setups. Because the feel and retention depend heavily on spring force and ball size, ball plungers are typically selected by specification.
