AT Spiral Pointed Taps

AT spiral point taps—often called gun taps—are threading taps used to cut internal threads while helping direct chips away from the cutting edges (application dependent). Spiral point designs are commonly selected for through-hole tapping and production-style threading where consistent chip control and efficiency matter. As with any tapping operation, best results come from matching the tap to the thread standard, size/pitch, hole type, and workpiece material.
