AT Special Purpose Taps

AT special purpose taps are threading taps designed for specific threading conditions—such as deeper blind holes, improved chip control, higher productivity, or challenging materials (application dependent). Unlike general-purpose hand taps, special-purpose tap styles are selected to match the way chips are formed and evacuated, the hole type (through vs blind), and the finish/consistency requirements of the job. Choosing the right tap style can reduce breakage, improve thread quality, and speed up production when the application calls for it.
