Alfa Tools manufactures RotaCutters®—premium annular cutters (also known as core drills, hole cutters, or broach cutters) engineered to drill large, precise holes up to 10× faster than standard twist drills while using 80% less power. Unlike twist drills that remove all material from the hole, annular cutters cut only the outer edge (annulus), leaving a solid slug at the center. This design greatly reduces cutting forces, extends tool life, and enables rapid drilling through thick steel plate, structural steel, and other tough materials. Available in HSS (M2), cobalt (M42), and carbide-tipped versions with 3/4" Weldon shanks for magnetic drill presses and milling machines, RotaCutters® are ideal for structural steel fabrication, bridge building, heavy equipment manufacturing, shipbuilding, and any job requiring fast, accurate holes from 7/16" to 6" diameter in materials up to 3" thick.
