NW Shoes

NW shoes are industrial “shoe”-style components used in fixtures and machine setups to provide a durable contact surface between a clamping element and the workpiece, or to act as a wear surface in sliding or repeated-contact applications (application dependent). In workholding and fixturing, shoes are commonly selected to help distribute load, improve stability, and protect parts from direct contact with harder clamp bodies. Because “shoe” styles vary widely, choosing the right part typically comes down to matching the geometry and mounting method to your clamp or fixture design.

Tilt in Any Direction - Automatically Adjust to Uneven Surfaces - Northwestern Tools toggle clamp shoes feature a unique tilting design that automatically adjusts to uneven surfaces, ensuring consistent clamping pressure across the workpiece. All shoes are interchangeable with all three types of toggle shoe clamps of the same thread size. Choose Delrin shoes when clamping soft materials or finished surfaces to prevent marring or scratching, or select heat-treated steel shoes with black oxide finish for general industrial applications.
