Sowa roughers and finishers are end mills selected for different stages of a machining process. Roughing end mills (often called “roughers” or “hoggers”) are designed to remove material efficiently during heavy stock removal, while finishing end mills are used to improve surface finish and hold tighter final dimensions (based on tool geometry and application).
