NAAMS Locating Pins - APE Series

Freer Tool & Supply’s NAAMS locating pins (APE Series) collection supports accurate, repeatable part location in welding fixtures, assembly tooling, and automation stations. Locating pins establish consistent datum points that help control part position and reduce variation—making them essential for maintaining fit-up, cycle-to-cycle repeatability, and overall process stability in high-production environments.

Freer Tool & Supply offers the full range of NAAMS Standards locating pins in the APE series, including both current and discontinued models. Pins with codes ending in “T” feature a titanium nitride coating, while those ending in “R” or “S” are retractable designs. This series includes fully metric pins with lengths from 52.9 mm to 170.1 mm, suitable for slotted holes in sizes 6x12, 8x14, 10x16, 12x18, 13x19, 16x22, 19x25, and 25x31 mm. TiN-coated pins are available in A2 or D2 steel by request, and all non-coated pins are made from ANSI 4140 steel.
