JG Press Fit Plungers

JG Press Fit Plungers | Precision Press-Fit Components

JG press‑fit plungers—also called press‑in spring plungers—are spring-loaded components installed into a prepared hole to provide detent, indexing, or light holding force in fixtures and mechanical assemblies (application dependent). Because these plungers are press-fit rather than threaded, they’re often used when you want a clean installation, fast assembly, or when a threaded body isn’t ideal for the design. They’re commonly used for positioning adjustable parts, creating “click-stop” engagement, and providing repeatable location in modular setups.

Stainless Steel Press Fit Plungers

Jergens Press Fit Plungers are turned and the tips are generated in one smooth, continuous process. This results in a constant radius tip, perfectly tangent to the point where the tip joins the shaft. Closer tolerances, minimum plunger-to-body clearance, and smoother plunger finish make all of our plungers fit more snugly in the plunger bore. Their thin, long base flange allows for a larger bearing surface and longer life.
