IS STI Taps

Freer Tool & Supply’s IS STI taps collection supports accurate internal threads for screw thread inserts (STI = Screw Thread Insert). STI taps are used to create the larger, specialized internal thread that accepts inserts like Helicoil®-style coils—helping restore stripped threads, strengthen threads in softer materials, and improve long-term durability in assemblies that see repeated fastening cycles.
