Halder Index Plungers & Index Bolts | Precision Positioning Solutions | Freer Tool
Halder index plungers—also called indexing plungers or index bolts—are spring-loaded positioning components used to locate, lock, or index parts into repeatable positions (application dependent). They’re commonly used on adjustable stops, guards, machine elements, fixtures, and automation equipment where you need fast changeovers and consistent alignment. Depending on the style, an index plunger can be pulled to retract the pin for adjustment, then released so the pin engages a mating hole or slot to hold position (application dependent).
