BH Headless Press Fit Drill Bushings

BH Headless Press Fit Drill Bushings

BH Headless Press Fit Drill Bushings (P-Type) | ANSI Standard | Freer Tool

BH headless press‑fit drill bushings are straight (headless) press‑in drill bushings used in jigs and fixtures to guide drills and protect fixture plates from wear (application dependent; verify per listing). A headless/straight bushing installs without a flange, which can be useful when you need a flush or low‑profile drill guide in a plate, or when the fixture design doesn’t allow a headed bushing (application dependent). Press‑fit drill bushings are commonly selected for production drilling and reaming setups where a rigid, permanent bushing installation is preferred for long service life (application dependent).

Key Features

Headless Press Fit Drill Bushings – P

Headless press-fit drill bushings are normally used in jigs where an economically priced drill bushing is required. These P-type drill bushings are also often used where less space is available on the jig plate. Headless press-fit drill bushings are pressed into the plate to achieve a flush surface in conjunction with a simple drilling and reaming operation. Headless drill bushings have less resistance than the headed type when subjected to large axial loads. Headless Press Fit Drill Bushings are denominated by the P prefix symbol.

BMP drill bushings are precision ground on the outside and inside diameters with leads on the OD for easy location. Boneham drill bushings bores are concentric to the OD within 0.0005” T.I.R.
