BH Headed Press Fit Drill Bushing

BH Headed Press Fit Drill Bushing

BH Headed Press Fit Drill Bushings | ANSI Standard | Freer Tool & Supply

BH headed press‑fit drill bushings are press‑in drill bushings used in jigs and fixtures to guide drills and protect fixture plates from wear (application dependent; verify per listing). A headed (flanged) bushing typically provides a positive stop against the plate surface during installation, helping control seating depth and improving repeatability in fixture builds (application dependent; per listing). Press‑fit drill bushings are commonly chosen for production drilling and reaming setups where a rigid, permanent bushing installation is preferred for long service life (application dependent).

Key Features

• Precision-ground inside and outside diameters
• Hardened to 60-65 HRC for extended service life
• Headed design for superior axial force control
• Press-fit tolerance for secure mounting

Headed Press Fit Drill Bushing – H Type

The ANSI H Type Press Fit Drill bushings are dimensionally the same as the P range, but for the head. Headed press fit drill bushings contain a shoulder at the top of the bush to allow greater axial force on the jig, and aids where it is desired, to feed down to a dead stop. The head of the bushing can be pressed into the plate easier and can be left either exposed above the plate surface or counter bored to sit flush. These bushings are denominated by the H reference. All Boneham drill bushings are hardened and have a ground finish to a press fit size.
