Wood spade bits, also called flat bits or paddle bits, are specialized drilling tools designed for fast, efficient boring through wood. Unlike twist drills, spade bits feature a flat, paddle-shaped design with a sharp center point and cutting edges on both sides. The 1/4" hex shank design makes them compatible with most cordless drills, impact drivers, and drill presses, eliminating the need for chuck adapters.
