AT REDUCED SHANK DRILLS

AT reduced shank drills—often called Silver & Deming drill bits—are designed to drill larger hole diameters while using a reduced shank size that fits common drill chucks (application dependent). They’re frequently used in fabrication and maintenance work when you need a larger drill diameter but want to run the tool in a standard 1/2" chuck without switching to specialty tooling.
