AT BRAD POINT DRILLS

AT brad point drill bits—also called lip and spur bits—are designed for cleaner, more accurate hole drilling in wood and wood-based materials (application dependent). The center brad helps locate the hole and reduce wandering at startup, while the outer spurs score the wood fibers to help produce a cleaner entry and reduced tear-out compared to general-purpose twist drills.
