NAAMS shims are a great way to fill small gaps or spaces in your automation process. These are metric fitting shims in compliance with the North American Automotive Metric Standards. They come with a slot design to fit tight areas in between two objects or workpieces. The thickness offerings are of 0.25mm, 0.50mm, 1.00mm, and 2.00mm. All 0.50mm shims come with a yellow zinc dichromate coating and 1.00mm shims have a black oxide coating. 0.25mm and 2.0mm shims have no coating and are to be distinguished by their overall thickness.
NAAMS spacers also help fill in the bigger areas where a shim just isn't enough. These are metric spacers with assorted hole configurations. Series 200, 300, 400, and 500 have adjacent holes. The number of holes is referenced by the series number. Series 300 comes with three holes, series 400 has four holes, and series 500 has 5 holes. Series 600 has six holes with three parallel holes running adjacent to three other holes on the opposite side of the spacer. Narrow shims are 20mm in width and are offered in series 300, 400, and 500. Slotted shims are offered in series 300, 400, 500, and 600 with a 20mm width also.
Aside from the standard series, our NAAMS spacer offerings also include a 3-slot construction spacer, mounting spacers, and shock bracket spacers. You can browse all of our NAAMS shims and spacers or see the full catalogs below.
