Carver buttress clamps are designed to work on power presses holding down press tools. They have an H-shape with four contact points which resists workpiece tendencies to rotate. Clamps work on low-profile workpieces up to 75 mm, or 3 inches, deep to drilling machines and lathe faceplates. The self-aligning captive pivot creates a constant clamping force ration between the workpieces and the table. These clamps eliminate the need for step blocks and risers.
